WHO WE ARE

 

Allan R. Koretz, President

 

Allan has been active in the investment business for more than 35 years, specializing in the financing of real estate and small cap companies. During his career Mr. Koretz has financed and sold in excess of $2 billion of real estate, including providing equity capital for real estate developers, homebuilders and high tech companies. 

 

Mr. Koretz was formerly Chairman of a Chicago based manufacturer and licensor of software; Partner in Goodkin-Kahn & Associates (San Diego based); Chairman of a Chicago based real estate finance and syndication company; a Senior Vice President of the Equity Group in Chicago (owned by Sam Zell); a Senior Vice President of First Chicago Realty (now part of  JPMorgan Chase), and a Senior Vice President of a mortgage banking company which was sold to JP Morgan Chase.

 

He has a BA from Amherst College, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and taught Economics and Finance at the State University of New York and at the Industrial Management Institute in Lake Forest, IL. He is a recipient of both Ford Foundation and University of Chicago Fellowships.

 

Robert A. Koretz,  Senior Vice President

 

Senior Vice President has been active as a real estate broker and mortgage banker for 15 years, specializing in residential marketing and sales, commercial leasing, and mezzanine and equity financing.

 

Robert was formerly CFO of a Chicago based software company dealing with Fortune 500 companys, and was General Manager of a small chain of restaurants.

 

Robert has a BA from the University of Colorado with a major in business administration and marketing.

Leslie George, Senior Vice President

Leslie recently joined ARKO Investments, Inc. to work with the Principals in expanding their relationships to in the Office Building areana.  She has over 20 years of corporate real estate experience and has executed approximately 7,000,000 sf in transactions. 

Previously she was with Newmark Knight Frank.  During her tenure there, Leslie repositioned the Chicago office and was the lead in sourcing and executing on behalf of major firms including: Hyatt Global Corporation and Veolia Environmental Services (the largest waste management firm in the world).  She also worked with a Global Corporate Services Account team to support clients on a local basis.  Her work extended to numerous middle market firms and was a top producer in the Midwest. 

Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Leslie was a Senior Vice President at Equis. Her primary responsibilities included: new business development, account oversight, execution, strategy and internal resource management. During her 7 years at Equis she procured relationships with Household International (HSBC), The City of Chicago, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Chicago Teachers’ Union, Philips Electronics, USFreightways, Royal Bank of Canada, Computer Sciences Corp, and BorgWarner.
